Amanda Hudnall
Amanda Hudnall Clarinet -

Amanda Hudnall currently holds the positions of Second/Eb Clarinet in the Tulsa Symphony
Orchestra and Second Clarinet in the Illinois Symphony Orchestra. She performs regularly with
the Wichita Symphony Orchestra as well as freelancing in other orchestras across the Midwest
region. Hudnall is a graduate of the Master of Music program at Northwestern University, and
she received her BM in clarinet performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City
Conservatory of Music. For three consecutive summers, she attended the Aspen Music Festival
on a full tuition scholarship.
Hudnall was a prize winner in both the 2014 NSAL St. Louis Chapter Career Awards and 2013
William C. Byrd Young Artist competitions, a finalist in the 2012 International Clarinet
Association Young Artist competition, and a winner of the 2012 UMKC Concerto/Aria
competition. As a member of The Swan Quartet, Hudnall was awarded first prize in the 2015
Chicago Woodwind Ensemble competition. Hudnall’s primary teachers have been Steve Cohen,
Jane Carl, Lawrie Bloom, Kurt Schoenrock, and Michael Rusinek.
When she isn’t performing music, Hudnall can be found rock climbing, running, biking, hiking,
or playing ball with her trusty Border Collie.
